Municipal and private-sector institutions for the furthering of the hydrogen economy

Partners in Hamburg

For the development of the hydrogen economy, multiple stakeholders are cooperating at the political and economic levels. While the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster Agency mainly implements its own formats for networking between companies, universities and institutes and develops marketing measures to communicate the projects of its members, the partner institutions focus on other priorities. Nevertheless, the Cluster Agency works closely with them on several levels to help the hydrogen economy take off successfully.

Role: Networking of ministries at different geographical levels with Hamburg's businesses, industry, the sciences, and its citizens.

Role: Joint project for integrated sector coupling & hydrogen with 50 partners and 25 projects in four hubs in Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Role: Promoting the use of fuel cells and hydrogen as well as innovative electric drive and supply systems as a public-private partnership on behalf of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

Role: Liaising between industry, research and politics to promote environmentally friendly energy concepts in Hamburg.

Role: One-stop agency for establishing companies and investments in Hamburg and a key partner of Hamburg's business community on all issues related to economic development.

Role: Development, communication and management of the Hamburg brand to highlight the attractiveness of Hamburg and the metropolitan region both domestically and abroad.
