HY.AIR Energy is developing an innovative fire protection system based on a hydrogen fuel cell.

During the energy conversion process, the fuel cell “consumes” oxygen, and the resulting oxygen-depleted exhaust air is deliberately directed into storage or warehouse areas to keep the oxygen concentration at a level where a fire cannot even start (preventive fire protection through oxygen reduction).

At the same time, the system provides clean electricity and heat—either in grid-connected mode or as a standalone solution—thereby reducing overall operating costs and emissions.

The system is offered as a modular container unit and can be easily installed (plug-and-play).

In short, HY.AIR combines fire protection and energy generation in a fuel cell system that enhances safety while promoting efficiency and sustainability in logistics, data centres, and storage facilities.
