Möhring Energie Holding GmbH

The Möhring Energie Group is an owner-managed mid-sized company based in Schleswig-Holstein, with an office in Hamburg. Since 2010 it has worked as a project developer, EPC contractor and operator in the renewable energy sector. In Germany and Ukraine, the company has delivered more than 23 wind and solar parks with over 500 MW of installed capacity and an investment volume of around EUR 1 billion — many of them as community energy parks developed in partnership with local authorities.

Since 2021 the group has been developing large-scale Power-to-X projects in Morocco, Mauritania and Brazil. These are designed to produce RFNBO-compliant hydrogen and its transportable derivatives, ammonia and e-methanol, for the European market. The plants follow an integrated modular design: generation, storage, synthesis and, where required, seawater desalination are engineered as a single system. This allows for step-by-step scaling even at demanding sites such as the Sahara. The projects are currently under development; Möhring Energie acts as project developer, EPC contractor and future operator of the plants.

The Möhring Energie Group combines northern German project experience with international delivery capability, working to make renewable energy and the molecules derived from it available to European industry.
